The New Year has rolled in! Whether I was ready for it or not it's here! Changes are going to happen for everyone! Some people will stick to their goals and some will slowly stray away from their goals throughout the year. It happens too much, people make these goals and aspirations for the new year and their motivation can't be any stronger when that New Year begins but when time, months, weeks, and sometimes only days pass, that motivation vanishes. No goals are met and some situations even become worse. But those few people, the people that acheive their goals and stick to them the ENTIRE year long, they are the ones who's lives truly change for the better. Their whole world becomes better and life is so much more livable! It's common that people fall or fade but in order to better yourself, or even get back to yourself, you HAVE to stick to your goals and that's what I'm going to do this year. This isn't just a New Year for me but a new life and incredible things are going to happen and I can only hope that everyone else I love and care for has their goals and dreams actually HAPPEN as well! So CHEERS to the New Year! May everyone stick to the path's they want to create for themselves!! CHEERS!

Happy Lucky V* Day or should I say Unlucky......
So this year I decided to get some of her favorite things and thank god it was her and no one else cause I know most everything she likes. Mi madre isn't one of those people that if you spent the whole day trying to make a list of things they like the only thing you accomplish is a head ache, those people are annoying!
As hard as it usually is, I found a dang funny card for her too! At around 2:00am I walked into the card isle. There was this lady there pacing, she obviously wanted the "perfect" card for whomever it was she felt the need to buy a card for and based from the look on her face she wasn't finding anything but yawns and corny jokes in that isle. I walk in and pick up the first interesting card I see, read it, and knew with no hesitation it was the card to get. I wasn't even in the isle for a full minute! I didn't get to see how the lady reacted to the quickness but I'm sure she thought, "oh men, they just don't care about what the card really says I guess", but truthfully, I just got lucky because the card is great!

I MISS YOU....and the picture explains it ALL.....
The night brings in "the calm before the storm". The stop lights at each street and the tale lights of the one leading car in front of you reflect red off the street below. Those sitting at home hear the whistling wind calmly rumbling the house and the rain showering down on the roof top make the most amazing orchestrated melody sending you straight into sleep mode or such a relaxed state as if you were some sort of robot programmed with different settings when you hear different sounds. The "Truer" Words Ever Spoken.......
Here are some simple quotes I've ran across throughout the last few months. Some funny, true, and very well thought.
"Some days you're the dog - some days you're the hydrant."
"Minds, like parachutes, only work when open."
"Ocean: A body of water occupying about two-thirds of a world made for man - who has no gills."
"I don't know! I don't know why I did it, I don't know why I enjoyed it, and I don't know why I'll do it again!"
"The greatest mistake you can make is to be continually fearing you will make one."
"The really great make you too feel like you can become great"
"Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. That's relativity."
"A single death is a tragedy; a million deaths is a statistic."
"We are effectively destroying ourselves by violence masquerading as love."
"Life is hard. After all, it kills you."
"I went to a fight the other night and a hockey game broke out."
"Mankind must put an end to war, or war will put an end to mankind."
"Never trust a thin chef."
"Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes."
"A theory is something nobody believes, except the person who made it. An experiment is something everybody believes, except the person who made it."
"Lost time is never found again."
"Inside of a ring or out, ain't nothing wrong with going down. It's staying down that's wrong."
"What a blessing it would be if we could open and shut our ears as easily as we open and shut our eyes!"
"Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake."
"If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas."
"I like to listen. I have learned a great deal from listening carefully. Most people never listen."
"Do sober what you said you were going to do drunk. You will learn to keep your mouth shut."
And now I have one of those "thinking too much" headaches, haha! oh well, enjoy!

What happened to the writing?
"Corrupting thoughts causing head aches sharper than glass. Everyone around you is passing away fast. Your seeing a big blurr and laughing although unsure of the joke. Around the brightly burning fire graced with tall, twisting smoke. Hearing gunshots burst as thick red blood falls at your feet from the closest soldier. You lay on the ground firing and loading your amo faster than you ever have in fear you may end up like the soldier lying right next to you. Your praying for survival while questioning death. You hear no more shots toward you. You feel your free but alone. You stand slowly to creep towards your tent. Not looking directly behind you, you get hit harder than cement. You freeze for a second to catch your own thoughts. They have captured you and they drag you with them slowly. At the one time you thought it was all over it came back to haunt you. Your wife and family pray for your survival as you believe you have let them all down. But to your surprise you see the men from the campfire who ran forward instead of lying down. They have come to your rescue and they have captured the enemy. The war is now over and your free to go home. You walk toward your faithful family and you are now, no longer, alone! written by: Jay Steven Sinkovitz" There are definitely a few things I could probably do better with it now, but it is always cool to bring things back and see what it sounds like with a more adult mind frame. I'm not sure when the point came that I stopped writing but dating back it looks like it was around the end of my sophmore year in high school. Too many distractions maybe? I know I lost alot of poems when i let an ex-girlfriend take them home and read them without realizing we were going to be breaking up a week or so later to never see those great poems ever again! I hope now to maybe pick back up where I left off, with the writing! Not the Ex!!
