The past few days this one thing has been on my mind. 
My Uncle enrolled when he was my age and has really secured his future and family. My dad tried to enlist but was unable to pass the physical due to high blood pressure. My sister also stated that my brother in law would have probably joined if he didn't have such a good gig. Many friends have enlisted in different types of the military. 
I have always thought about this but never as intensely as the present time. I definitely believe it would help my future. 
Truthfully the only thing holding me back is my mother. Just like many mothers she would yell at recruiters who would call as soon as my 18th birthday came.
Once down the road, there's NO U-TURNS. But should I let that stop me?
