The Holiday Workity work work......

What a long day yesterday! I started off with some TV and Washer/Dryer deliveries around 7am and was actually pretty excited about it. I love to travel and allot of the time it doesn't matter to me where I'm headed or which form of travel it is, plane, train, car, boat, ......Delivery Truck!

We had 10 deliveries and it was raining and was scheduled to rain all day so I knew we were in for a long day. Our #1 issue with deliveries is finding the correct locations. We have a pretty dang accurate GPS system but there are times we run into small dilemma's! One of these dilemma's is locating a house or apartment number and the number isn't listed anywhere, not on the house or even the mailbox. So yesterday we approached this very issue only to, for the first time, see a pretty awesome thing.

(my cell takes crappy photos)

This home-owner took 2-seconds out of her 3rd shift schedule to to make this oh-SO-friggin' helpful sign! It was pretty great to see!

Soon after this delivery we came to a pretty difficult one. The delivery was a Samsung washer and steam dryer with 2 pedestals (below). After lifting the almost 240lb washer into an extremely tiny laundry room, aligning it with it's correct wall fixtures and attaching it to it's pedestal, then lifting the 200lb dryer and doing the same, we ran into another dilemma aside from our question of whether or not the door entering the room from the garage was going to shut with the massive machines in its way!

We noticed that the doors on the washer and dryer came together(as seen in blue, below), making it difficult and definitely inconvenient to transfer clothes from the washer into the dryer (if only we had noticed before!). We only had one option, we had to detach the washer from its pedestal, lift, and switch positions of the 2 machines (also shown below in white). The connections had to cross but luckily they were long enough to reach. And the washer and dryer worked and looked great in the end, what a friggin' relief!

We arrived back at the store around 3pm when I was actually scheduled to work the Wednesday night truck which has been getting pretty big due to the busy holiday season! I wanted to go home after the ruff day but seeing the size of the truck and knowing the lack of employees to work it I decided to dig into it, and get as much possible done for the rest of the guys. I finished diggin' completely through the truck around 8pm for the rest of the guys to take the product out to the floor and put up! 13hrs later I finally made it home and passed right out!

I go to the city on Saturday and I couldn't be more excited!
