Happy New Year 2011!

The New Year has rolled in! Whether I was ready for it or not it's here! Changes are going to happen for everyone! Some people will stick to their goals and some will slowly stray away from their goals throughout the year. It happens too much, people make these goals and aspirations for the new year and their motivation can't be any stronger when that New Year begins but when time, months, weeks, and sometimes only days pass, that motivation vanishes. No goals are met and some situations even become worse. But those few people, the people that acheive their goals and stick to them the ENTIRE year long, they are the ones who's lives truly change for the better. Their whole world becomes better and life is so much more livable! It's common that people fall or fade but in order to better yourself, or even get back to yourself, you HAVE to stick to your goals and that's what I'm going to do this year. This isn't just a New Year for me but a new life and incredible things are going to happen and I can only hope that everyone else I love and care for has their goals and dreams actually HAPPEN as well! So CHEERS to the New Year! May everyone stick to the path's they want to create for themselves!! CHEERS!

Faus-WHATT!!??!

2010 Fausnaught Day just past. Here I thought a Fausnaught was just any doughnut but holy crap was I mistaken! I've learned this year that a Fastnacht isn't exactly that amazing jelly-filled sugar-soaked doughnut we all love but yet a very boring and bland version of the tempting treat! Oh well!!

What's going on?

This is a little thing I wanted to try out. What I'm going to do is display a photo and make up my own version of "what's going on" in the photo!

The photo I'm displaying this time around is a shot I took in NYC this past Holiday season......

This shot is pretty self explanatory, the Santa in the middle was donkey kicked in the go-nads by a 9 yr. old girl (not in the photo). The Santa standing in front of him is defending the Santa who took the blow and arguing with the 9 yr. old (not in the photo) who is 2 milliseconds away from throwing a ginormous tantrum which would ultimately cause uncontrollable chaos on the streets of NYC. Luckily, the Santa on the left sees the NYPD flocking towards the scene so he belts out a loud "RUN" and so everyone does! But there are no worries in this scandal because James Bond saw the whole thing go down from a pretty safe distance across the way!

I WANT A DOUGHNUT!!!!!!

HAPPY FASTNACHT DAY!

I've never heard of fastnacht day until this year. It's unheard of in Florida or Tennessee but is HUGE here in Pennsylvania. Check it out here!

Not for me this year, but next year might be a different story!!

Happy Lucky V* Day or should I say Unlucky......

You probably don't remember but last year when living in Tennessee I received a box from the good ol' USPS with all my favorite little things in it. It was from my mom of 21 year's and counting! And although most every year on Valentines Day she gives me, my brother, and my sisters some sort of gift, I must have forgotten because it was completely unexpected last year.

So this year I decided to get some of her favorite things and thank god it was her and no one else cause I know most everything she likes. Mi madre isn't one of those people that if you spent the whole day trying to make a list of things they like the only thing you accomplish is a head ache, those people are annoying!

As hard as it usually is, I found a dang funny card for her too! At around 2:00am I walked into the card isle. There was this lady there pacing, she obviously wanted the "perfect" card for whomever it was she felt the need to buy a card for and based from the look on her face she wasn't finding anything but yawns and corny jokes in that isle. I walk in and pick up the first interesting card I see, read it, and knew with no hesitation it was the card to get. I wasn't even in the isle for a full minute! I didn't get to see how the lady reacted to the quickness but I'm sure she thought, "oh men, they just don't care about what the card really says I guess", but truthfully, I just got lucky because the card is great!

I also got a gift from the madre this year and she was actually lookin' out for me! Dieters get candy on Valentines Day too!

Delish! Happy Valentines Day!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009
and Happy New Year's to come! I can only hope everyone had a much better New Year's than myself and actually enjoyed a nice town setting or friendly house party or anything other than sitting at a table bored and wishing you simply had anything to do or any way of getting anywhere!!!! I'll make a note to plan better for next New Year's, maybe a trip to time square and everyone can join me!!! I guess we got a year to see if that'll happen! HAVE A GOOD ONE!

new year's eve

Tonight is a big night! It seems futuristic to say it will be the year 2009. Reminds me of being a young kid and Ben, Zack, or whoever would say "In like 2009 I'm going to drive my parents station wagon all the way across the world, giggidy"! and I'd respond with "yeah right dude, your not driving anywhere, you can barely ride your Huffy and besides, by the year 2009 there won't even be regular cars, EVERYONES car is going to fly, its going to be awesome"!

New Years is one of the leading motivational days of all times. You hear friends, family, co-workers, clients, pretty much everyone starts their conversations with "You know what I'm going to do this year" when on the subject of New Years. And you would respond with a "loose weight!" even if the person clearly didn't need to! It's a new beginning to start whatever the heck it is that you've ever wanted to start. Some people learn an instrument, some change their attitudes. Then some discipline themselves when the New Year motivation disappears and succeed and allot only last about a month if that.

So I ran many ideas through my head on just how I want to start my 2009 off and came up with pages full of things I want to do. Leading the list with a resolution that I would say is most-popular on peoples list of resolutions. Gyms across the world make millions because of everyones sudden want and urge for it. WEIGHT-LOSS!

I've concluded that one day this week, the first week of the year, I am bringing back the very part of my blog that took a sudden disappearance  after an extremely ironic post titled "Knock on Wood"! I am bringing back Weight-loss Weekly and picking 2009 up where I left it on July 28th, 2008 ! It's going to be so freakin' tuff with literally freezing weather and still not having an indoor gym membership!

Thats just one of my top resolutions! I also want to write allot more and learn more about writing, sky dive, travel to even more places, there's so many things I want to do!

So what do YOU want to do this year, what are YOUR resolutions!? I'd love to hear em', it's your turn, shoot

This is the song that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friends.........

A little break from the Happy Holidays I hope we are ALL enjoying, I couldn't help but think and write some unexpected thoughts! Enjoy or don't they are only thoughts! And thing is I am not against the war, in fact it is likely I have been seen arguing for the war currently being fought in the middle east. My thinking is simply trying to understand war which I don't think is fully possible. and so fourth.........

" Is war ever really over?

As much as I hate to say it, it seems we will never be free of war. Which in a sick way is funny being that to be free is what we are use to fighting for.

War is unstoppable in a way. One attacks another and the other attacks back until one side claims victory making the failing side absolutely pissed off and to a point insane after losing the lives of many loved ones for a cause they were unable to succeed in fighting for. Fueled by anger and a smidgeon of fear the one who once lost unforgotten of the war fought before will attack the previous victor as revenge or some may argue dignity only beginning war once again. Sounds to me like a little song I know, everyone knows it. From bus rides to just purposely annoying people, the song is sung over and over. The song has no end because it is “The Song that Never Ends” and in my mind equivalent to the actions that we call War!

NEW YORK, NEW YORK!!!

I've always heard the city is packed to heck during the holidays and this past Saturday I got the opportunity to see for myself.

The streets were loaded with people but most of all Santa's.
Saturday happened to be SantaCon on the streets of NYC and it was amazing to see the holiday spirit spread in such a way.

I might just have to be a part of it next year. I wish I would have known, I would have dressed up this year and brought a couple cans of food along, oh well!

This was only a tiny moment in my mission alone on the city streets.

I made my way through the billions of glowing billboards in Time Square.

While on the move I ran into some more Santa's. These ones didn't look like they were a part of SantaCon though, they did some things I'm pretty sure you have to be sober to do!
After the 100 second show and discovering exactly where I was opposed to everything else, I decided to make my way to the Empire State Building.
Unfortunately when I got to the Empire State Building the line to enter the place resembled a line for a ride at Disney World on one of it's busiest days of the year. So I only got the view from the bottom.

I began to walk with no real destination.
When I began to run in to everything I wanted to see. Based on other post's it's a given that I like to watch Late Night so it was friggin' great running into the NBC Studios!

Of course right across the street was the one and only Radio City Music Hall where everyone was waiting in line for whatever the heck they were waiting in line for!

The entire city was decked out in holiday decor but making my way past Radio City I saw what I  thought was the best I had seen while I was there, bulbs on top of a fountain-landscape. Looked pretty cool!

While taking photos of these massive red bulbs a familiar character passed by, say what's up to Elmo!

I took a little walking break but I didn't want to waste too much time so I got some lunch from the New Yorkers dollar menu!
Made my way to Central Park and passed 2 sets of carolers.
The park was cool. Instantly reminds you of Christmas movies such as Home Alone or Elf. Horse drawn carriages stroll through allot like the taxis in the traffic but in a much more orderly manner.
One thing I noticed about the park is the squirrels, just like the pigeons in town they are use to people being around all the time and don't move when approached. I swear you could throw a rock at them and they wouldn't flinch, maybe just chase the rock to see if it is food, it's hilarious
!
On the way back to Bryant Park I ran into another Santa passing out flyers for an Art store. It seemed like every Santa was in mid-town but this guy. I felt kinda bad for him cause he was alone on this street where no one was but the guy was hilarious and the art store was pretty cool too.
I don't even know what this represented besides the very word but this looked pretty cool too.
After walking around aimlessly I realized I still had allot of time still left before I head back to meet up with the bus. I walked all the way back to Macy's to see what all the hype was about.
I walked in and immediately wished I hadn't. Thing was, once in, I couldn't just walk right back out, it was like a force was just pushing you through and the only way out of the packed place was making your way through the crowd to the other side of the store. It was CRAZY in that place!

I made it back to Bryant Park with hours left to spare.
Since Bryant Park is right next to Time Square and the sun had dropped I decided to make my way back over there to see all the lights shine even brighter. I wish I could have gotten some pictures of that before my camera batteries deceased but if you haven't seen the city at night I recommend it at least once in your lifetime!

It was one heck of a long and amazing day. I can't wait until next time, I'll have my santa outfit ready!
