Oh how I love to fly......

So I just recently returned from a stress free week-long vacation in the Nashville, TN area where I once called home. I had a connecting flight to catch in St. Louis and my first flight was running a little late. Finally in the air I ordered some hot tea, just like I normally do when the flight attendant comes by to take everyone's drink order and throw peanuts & pretzels down our throats! I pulled my lap tray down when the tea arrived and the tray was stiff, definitely broken. I thought I had it down just as far as it was going to go! I let the tea brew and added the cream & sugar, rested my elbows on the tray to grab the cup for a sip and BAM, the tray gave out! The tray dropped a little further and the hot tea flung all over me. All over my shorts, my shirt, on my backpack a tad and it was HOT! Somehow though I wonder how the passenger next to me didn't manage to get a drop on him, as if the seats weren't on top of each other!

And the story goes on, I arrive in St. Louis minutes late and as soon as I take that right foot through those gate door's and into the terminal I hear, "Jay Steven Sinkovitz please make your way to gate E4. Your flight has boarded and we are waiting on you"! Gate E4 was at the opposite end of my terminal! I didn't run but walked like Sea-biscuit runs, galloped in some strange way! I have been at the airport and heard someone get called over the loud speaker before and every time I have thought, "Who does that, how hard is it to be on time to a flight or book another if you're not going to make it!?", but now I know. Man was it a little embarrassing even though it wasn't my fault at all!

I flew out of St. Louis and made it to Baltimore! I was bit skeptical as to whether my baggage would have arrived with me after my connected flight running late but sure enough my baggage made it alive too! All ended well and the vacation was great, couldn't ask for a better ending to an interesting day!

Craziness Galifianakis, CRAZINESS!

Zach Galifianakis (The Hangover) is well known for the incredible bushy beard! I wonder what made him want to shave it off on SNL!? Craziness!!

here, there and back again a few times........

Many things have changed for me in an incredibly short span of time. I've gone places and gone back places and after it all I couldn't be more happy with the choices I've had to make and feel pretty stable where I'm at and ready to move forward to even bigger and better things!! And I'm incredibly stoked about the pushes and shoves that have resulted in the direction I'm in!

I've been thinking more and more about Art School and have been focusing on a wide range of projects, mostly photo but I'm dabbing into a few other forms too. As far as photo's go though I'm pretty satisfied with some of the recent things I've done and the new stuff I discover I can do as I try harder and harder. Here's a few results, enjoy!

your deeply missed................iPhone!

It's been almost 2 brutal days without my iPhone. Every second that goes by influences my hearty appreciation for the device. It may seem a little over-drawn but I can't fathom how I ever survived without it! It's AMAZING!!!! I have nothing to enjoy in the restroom, I have to just sit there now!
Why hasn't anyone text me?, oh wait, I don't have my phone!
I wasn't able to tweet when I saw that kid do that crazy thing in the snow!
I would have been able to read the Facebook invite before the event instead of after!
I have no idea where I even am anymore! I got to a dead end I had no idea if I was suppose to go right or left!
I could have responded to the newest fan page post faster and still have that fan!
I would have had 1 email at a time instead of 2 BILLION when I got home!
I'll most likely never know what the temperature actually was/is these few days or if it was suppose to snow or not.
I couldn't scan the things I wanted to buy to see if any other store had them for cheaper.
Without my iPhone how was I suppose to know it was her birthday?!
Until I get it back I'll never know what the name of that movie was I was trying to think of either.
I have no idea where the closest Starbucks is or where I should eat tonight.
I feel like I'm missing out on life right now!

I miss you iPhone, see you tomorrow I hope!

Although the iPhone is incredibly amazing these statements aren't 100 % accurate, I can still technically live and have fun without my iPhone but with it life's just that must easier!!!

All the BLURRY alternatives....

I guess there is always alternatives! Since the laptop still functions I took one of the alternatives to heart! The good old laptop to TV trick!

It's not TOO bad, but when I read emails or look at any of the smaller words I almost want to literally gouge my eye's out but that's about it, I could still smell and hear right! I don't think I will use this method too often but at least there are ways around this disaster! Is it sad that allot of the world would consider their laptop breaking or not functioning a disaster!!?!

Devastated & Broken.....

Things aren't going too hot. My vehicle has been out of order sitting in front of the house with brake issues for months now. Saving money to get it fixed wasn't working out when I was getting hours at work and now, with yesterdays lingering issue, I wonder if I'll ever be able to get the beast fixed.

But just when I think "what the heck else could happen to me", my thought only answers back. I was sitting in the lounge chair in my room last night with my laptop on the thick supportive arm rest surfing YouTube and thinking of things to blog about until I feel the urge to use the john. I got up and when I did, like a slow matrix scene, my laptop dropped feeling like hours it floated. First hitting my amp then bouncing off the hard wood floor leaving me enraged and wishing only that in that moment I could have been a super hero, one with the universes incomparable reflexes! But NO, instead I get a horrific site sitting right there in front of me.
I'm devastated. I use my laptop daily, sometimes hours upon hours. Uploading and editing photos upon photos and keeping in contact with all of you through this unproductive but necessary project and with all my friends back in my hometown who I also don't get to see. What happens now!!?

Hard Times

Almost every day I take a peek into the York Daily Record(local newspaper)in search of a second job. Work place's have been cutting hours and although I might luck out with the occasional delivery calls I'm beginning to wonder if the hours that I'm getting will be enough.

Less and less jobs appear each day, yet those ads asking you to place your own ads by telling you that you have something around the house you want to sell, and the ads from all those people hoping to sell their old car's or microwave even probably to simply pay rent for the month are growing and growing.

I've reflected the thought of going back to school and studying for what I've always enjoyed, photography and writing, maybe Photo Journalism. I still want to and hope I will have the opportunity one day but I'm glad I haven't just yet. College is a great thing but it can cause allot of debt and the chances of finding a good and well paying job are much less once graduated anymore.

It's not like I've ever had a problem getting a job. I have had plenty and almost every one I've applied for I've also been hired for. I have never in my life been to an interview that didn't go well or didn't result in hiring but never did I think that there might not be any jobs to apply for!

It makes zero sense to me.....

This past Christmas allot of kids have gotten some pretty pricey things. I understand the parents want to get their children something special, especially if they've been good or getting decent grades in school.

An Xbox 360 or iPod touch seem like a couple of popular items and it seems okay in a way for kids to get something like that for Christmas cause it is mostly a one time purchase, no monthly dues, just a simple 150.00 to 250.00 and a couple games and that's it.
But an iPhone on the other hand, is completely unnecessary for a kid, period. I thought the touch and Xbox 360 was a huge stretch! Not only are you spending the $200.00+ base price for the phone itself with a 2 year contract, but you pay literally 120.00+ a month for the service unless they don't get unlimited text messaging which no kid these days want a cell phone without it only so they can text message (never call) their friends who they just saw at school 5 seconds before. It doesn't make sense for any parent to purchase it for their kid especially when a touch is very similar with WiFi just without the 3G network. People with freakin' big business can't even buy iPhones sometimes, a friggin' KID?

What especially bugs the heck out of me is when the kid takes his iPhone with him over to a guests house for an Eagles vs Giants game gathering and the entire time he is there he doesn't really say a word to ANYONE and he doesn't even lift his head for more than .3556 mili. seconds while they're there. And you know he's not ignoring or not paying attention to anyone because he's got an extremely urgent text convo. going on or an emergency call but for some reason nothing is more important than his iPhone.

I would never buy my kid something like an iPhone even if I was rich. It doesn't teach them anything, they have computers and sometimes laptops at home. Your an idiot if you bought them an iPhone (opinionated)!

I'm done!!! I'm glad I got that out, LOVE LIFE!

Call me......

It feels good to finally have a phone that works again! Although I'm going to miss playing the guessing game whenever I receive a text message, oh well!

The Guessing Game...

For the past 2 months this screen (the photo to the right) is what I've had to see if ever I open my cellular device. If text messaged I have to play a guessing game to know what the entirety of the sometimes simple message says! It can actually be fun, sometimes the rest of the family gets involved and sometimes we never quite do figure out what the message does actually say. Luckily I do have insurance on it I just have been procrastinating to call and order a replacement. But I'll have a new one soon, hopefully!

I Feel NAKED! (without my camera)

HEY, sorry i haven't posted in Soooooo freaking long! I have no camera now due to circumstances involving sand and crabs. I hope you haven't missed me too much, HA! One big update is the 4th of july was CRAZY FUN. Went to my buddy RJ's after work around 7am, Went to my families bbq at our pool around 130pm, I love my family SO much!, and Dustin also met up with me there, I'm going to miss everyone! Then Dustin and I headed to sarasota to get Aaron from work and checkout some SWEET new cameras! Imagine what i could do with a nice, REAL camera! After browsing circuit city for a while we then went to Aarons house for a little grub with the family! Drove to Heritage Harbour to watch some fireworks around 830pm, I think, with every other person in bradenton it seemed. IT WAS SO PACKED. After running to find our car for an hour before everyone else, we head out to Marina Jacks in sarasota to meet up with Casey at her boat and shoot off a little fireworks of our own! after all that Dustin and I finally got home around 1am absolutely drained like our legs were cut off at the knees but we were still freakin' standing on em', haha! Anyway, Happy 4th! I hope you had an amazing time and didn't have to work! LATER!

Trojan Viruses/Some Florida Fun

SO my computer got a FLIPPIN virus. i spent 45 bucks on antivirus and no good has come of it so far. I F'N hate it! anyway, on the upside, yesterday, after strugglin with this virus conflict and still getting strictly nowhere, i decided to go out with a couple good friends,

Aaron and DustinOf course we did our typically necessary Starbucks run where i doubled up on a delish double shot for a real quick energy boostafter some laughs, some good bangin' Starbucks beats and free strawberry frap samples, we headed to the also typical but always entertaining tourist attraction of St. Armands! Saw many neon signs
Tried to find the other side of the rainbow, but some one got there before us! check out his outfit, i want to be just like him when grow up!And Saw some interesting rides
I forgot about the beach limbo for minis
!all in all it was a night of nothing but good times! And, dont worry, i always learn a lesson! Problems can dissapear completely if you let the mind do so, so dont stress and have fun, enjoy the positive and the negative will temporarily, no longer exist! LOVE LIFE!
